First Quarter Summary:
O’Fallon started off with a 9-0 run which included five points from #21) Ronnie Anthony. Collinsville didn’t score till #2) Kenrique Brown scored a basket with 4:31 left in the first quarter. Collinsville finished off the quarter with a 12-7 run which had two threes by #24) Ronnie Midgett. The score after the first quarter was O’Fallon leading 16-14.
Second Quarter Summary:
Collinsville started the second quarter with a 5-0 run to take their first lead 19-16 with 6:02 left in the first half. O’Fallon answered back with a 8-0 run which included two threes by #21) Anthony and a basket by #11) Alex Orr. O’Fallon had the lead 24-19 then. The two teams finished Collinsville outscoring O’Fallon 8-5 . #22) Austin Knight had four of the eight points for Collinsville. The score at the break was 29-27 in O’Fallon’s favor.
Third Quarter Summary:
The second half started with the two teams trading threes. Then Collinsville got a conventional three point play with a #24) Midgett basket and a free throw to take the lead 33-32 with 5:11 left in the third. O’Fallon answered with a 5-0 run to lead 37-33. Collinsville answered with their own 5-0 run to lead 38-37. They traded baskets to keep the Collinsville one point lead 40-39 after three quarters.
Fourth Quarter Summary:
The fourth quarter started with a not too smart foul on O’Fallon’s #2) Jalen Hodge while he was shooting a three that wasn’t close to going in. #2) Hodge hit all three free throws  to make O’Fallon take the lead 42-40. Hodge wasn’t done yet, he scored four out of the next six for a 9-0 run for O’Fallon and to stretch the lead to eight 48-40 with 5:31 to play. Collinsville got it back to three with a three point play by #24) Ronnie Midgett with 4:13 play. O’Fallon answered with a 9-2 run to get a double digit lead 57-47 with 2:21 left. #2) Hodge had five of the nine points in the run. The two teams traded two baskets apiece in the last 2:21 and Collinsville’s were scored by #21) Anthony. That made the final score 61-51 in O’Fallon’s favor.
Game Summary:
O’Fallon was leading most of the game till the end of the third quarter when they were down one 40-39. Then #2) Jalen Hodge took over in the fourth and had a 12 point quarter. They had three players scored 50 of their 61 points. #2)Hodge 19,#21) Anthony  20 and #3) Ryan Fulton 11) . Collinsville had problems with Hodge and Anthony all night. I really like Hodge, he is a complete ball player.
Collinsville was probably outmanned today but they hung in there till they ran out of gas in the mid fourth quarter. They couldn’t hold onto the ball with 19 turnovers to O’Fallon’s seven. They only had four players score all double figures but only four. They shot 51% from the field but I think they take a lot of bad shots especially #2) Kenrique Brown. They are not going to be near the top of the conference this year.

Third Quarter Summary:
The third quarter was Troy trying not to let this game get out of hand. They kept in the 20 point range most of the quarter. They traded baskets most of the quarter. Troy’s #5) Brandon Bassham did have a seven point spurt in the quarter. Troy outscored Rock Bridge for the quarter 20-17 but was still had a 21 point deficit at the end of it 58-37. Rock Bridge had eight different players score in the fourth quarter. They had a 30 point lead once and that was with 10 seconds left 81-51 and that was the final score.
Game Summary:
Rock Bridge is fun to watch they have at least five athletes. They don’t take bad shots and they shot at a high percentage today. #30) Isiaih Mosley had a game high 31 points and it was a quiet 31. He had six threes and I only remember one miss from the arc. They can shoot and they are not afraid to put it up. They are lead by three sophomore starters. I like #22) Ben Cooper. He is a typical point guard. He plays good defense and can pass, He did have a tough shooting night from the arc one for five but you could tell he was a good shooter. They are fun to watch and I will again if I shot too.
Troy Buchanan was out manned today by a good team. They did have some good points. Troy’s #5) Brandan Bassham plays with some intensity. He had 17 points and would have had more if played under control. He had two offensive fouls and could of had more. When he drove and there was contact, you wondered how the official was going to call it because it could be offensive every time. Troy’s #11) Andrew Nett is a shooter he also had 17 points for the game. He was was 4 for 6 from the arc. They will win some games but wont be at the top of the conference.

Battle started the second half with a 33 yard field goal that was caused by a 38 yard run by #7) Drey Tyler as the main play to tie the game at 11.

They moved the ball with running plays to #32) Hunter Smith ran in from three yards. They tried a two point conversion and it failed. I still never figured why they tried the two point conversion instead of tying the game.Fort Zumwalt North was leading 18-17 with 3:15 left in the third quarter.
Fort Zumwalt North started the next drive on their own 20 yard line. The main play in the drive was a broken play was a 43 yard yard keeper to get the ball down to the 15. They ran the ball down to the five yard line by a steady diet of #14) Brevinn Tyler and #32) Hunter Smith and ended up with a 5 yard touchdown run by Hunter Smith and he also scored the two point conversion to tie the game at 25 with 31.9 seconds left in the game
Fort Zumwalt North got the ball back with 25.0 seconds left in the game at their own 35. #4) Cade Brister’s career is coming to an end and has put the Fort Zumwalt North’s football program on the map. North’s record since Brister has been on the team is 41-7 . He is a complete football player. It’s hard to say if he’s better on defense or on offense.

Game Summary:
Staley started off with a quick 14 points and one was off an onside kick. Then Vianney came back with two straight touchdowns to tie the game and one was because of a weird play on a kickoff return. Staley then scored 17 straight points and one touchdown came after an interception. Staley had a 31-14 lead at the half.
The second half was all Vianney, They  scored three touchdowns and had drives of 72, 90 and 80 yards. Vianney defense tightened up and didn’t allow a point in the second half. I’m not sure Vianney is the best team but they had the most heart and is on a roll and had a tough road to get to the championship game.
Vianney will play Fort Zumwalt North  in the Class 5 State Championship game next week in Springfield at 7pm.

Althoff was wearing purple jerseys and black number so I couldn’t read the numbers. So instead of guessing. I put it as passsing or running play with the gain or loss.
Game Summary:
I’m an official so I don’t like to say negative things about officials but in this case. The officials made so many calls that changed the game and you were waiting for the next flag. That being said it’s a very tough job and in football its a lot harder to interpret the rules especially pass interference and defensive holding.
This was the best game I’ve seen all year. Rochester came back from a 21-7 and 48-29 deficit to win by one point. The Rochester QB #19) Nic Baker is sneaky quick and makes good decisions and they have good players in key spots. This will be the 6th semifinal appearance in the last seven years. The only time they didnt make the semifinals was last year when Althoff beat them 46-42. The loss broke the five year state winning streak.
Althoff’s Bester scored on a 79 yard touchdown run which was the last and was their 3rd touchdown in a row for Althoff and was winning 47-28. Then they started self destruct with penalties some deserved some of them questionable. The players in skilled positions are very quick and they have a great team. The unsportsmanlike penalties killed them in the fourth quarter. They lost because of the penalties and the other team is the toughest team they’ve seen all year. They are not very discplined when it counted.
