Team Summary:

Webster Groves was outplayed in every way today and only scored ten points in the first half and only three points in the second quarter to be down 18-10 at the half. They even tried Carte’Are Gordon bringing up the ball in the fourth quarter. They hvent had a top 50 prospect all season but does he make this kind of difference. The only scored 34 points for the game and it was ugly to watch.

Fern Creek KY is the #4 team in the state of Kentucky according to Max Preps. They have a major player in #5) Anthony Wales that had a game high 26 points. They dominated every aspect in the game and play especially good defense. They will be a power in Kentucky and to keep this team down to 34 points even without Ramey is an accomplishment.

Team Summary:

Vashon was ahead 34-30 at the break. Chaminade wouldn’t go away and outscored Vashon 23-16 in the third quarter. They didn’t give up and came up a little short and the four year wait for this game was worth it. They have a solid team and could be the best team in the area but not tonight.

Chaminade was down by four at the half and out scored Vashon by seven in the third quarter to be winning 53-50 after three quarters and never lost the lead in the fourth quarter. They have a solid team about six deep. They stayed in the zone most of the game and worked out for them since there is better athletes on the Vashon side. They had four people in double figuresand won the turnover and second chance points battle. They moved up to the top spot on my rankings.

The high school game needs a shot clock. If anybody has a question about this should watch this game.
After the game there was a problem with the coaches. I think the problem wasn’t one sided but it looked very bad and security had to step in. It just didn’t look good for high school sports .

1. (3) Chaminade beat by Chicago Simeon in the Chicago Elite. They beat Vashon at the Ramey Shootout this week. Solid and NC State recruit Hellems is a must see
2. (2) Belleville West 5-1 went 3-1 in The Tournament of Champions in Washington, IL. They soundly beat East St. Louis this week They have a solid five and a must see in EJ Liddell.
3. (8) St. Mary’s 9-0 still have the big three Collins, Burks, and Rasas. Won the Redbird Tipoff and beat CBC by 25+ points and beat #7) Alton earlier in the year.
4. (1) Vashon 4-2 beat by #1) Chaminade this week in a classic. They’re on a two game losing streak but won some big ones in Chicago earlier. McKinney is a must see. Solid
5. (4) Hazelwood Central 7-1 had a tough week won a three overtime thriller against Francis Howell talent wise not close and lost to a good Chicago Orr team. Both Williams a must see
6. (11) Alton 6-1 only loss was to #3) St. Mary’s in the championship in the Redbird Tipoff and came back from a 15 point deficit to beat East. St. Louis.
7. (5) Webster Groves 3-3 lost to three power houses but lost badly to each one. It’s obvious they don’t have national power talent even with Ramey but will be tough in Missouri.
8. (15) Confluence 9-2 only losses were in the TOC in Washington Il and the same team #2)Belleville West team lost to. They have two of the top ten scorers in the area. Must see
9. (10) Whitfield 6-2 their two losses were to #5) Hazelwood Central and Chicago Corliss. They won the Pattonville Tournament. They have a must see in Torrence Watson (Mizzou)
10. (NR) Fort Zumwalt South 6-0 won the SCW Warrior Classic. The schedule strength not very good but hasn’t done anything wrong yet. Solid team
