Large Schools
1.(1) Chaminade (16-3) since the last ranking beat a good Whitney Young team and an ok SLUH team and lost to a very good Chicago Curie team at the Bank of O’Fallon shoot out but didn’t have Jericole Hellems because he was DQ’d in the SLUH game with two techs.
2. (4) Belleville West (20-2) since the last ranking went 3-0 with wins over (#11 LS) Edwardsville, O’Fallon and (#4 LS) Webster Groves at the Bank Of O’Fallon Shootout but without Carte’Are Gordon but that’s the Webster Groves team now. Liddell is getting better and better
3. (3) Hazelwood Central (19-1) only loss was to a very Good Orr Academy from Chicago on 12/16 since then on a 11 game winning streak.best Liberty in the Ameritime Classic They have a tough schedule coming up 2/9 Rock Bridge, 2/20 (#4 LS) Webster Groves and on 2/11 at (#1 SS) Vashon
4. (2) Webster Groves (12-7) been without Carte’Are Gordon for two games now and have a 1-1 record beating Quincy and Losing to(#2 LS) Belleville West. It looks like to me he is not coming back anytime soon. I have to give Coach Blossom some credit. There isn’t too many coaches that would do this.
5. (5) Francis Howell (19-3) on a 114 game winning streak after to losing to a hot (#7 SS) Trinity team in the MICDS Holiday Tourney. They have a solid five of six. They will have a lot of wins.
6. (7) Fort Zumwalt South (18-2) is on a 10 game winning streak after a loss to a very good Springfield Glendale team. The level of competition not the same as top four but could have two losses going into the state tournament. Play at (#10 LS) Liberty 2/7
7. (6) Parkway Central (17-4) was on a seven game winning streak till they lost to a good(#10 LS) Liberty team (1-2). at the Ameritime Classic. I’m not sure competition level is the same as the top four. They should win out till the playoffs. They are a must see with DeAndre Campbell.
8.) (12) Hazelwood East (15-5) they have losses to (#7 SS) Trinity, Lincoln IL, (#3 LS) Hazelwood Central, Belleville East and Mc Cluer North . I would say none of them real bad losses. Gthey have beaten Pattonville twice and (#8 SS)Cardinal Ritter.
