Central’s #1) Wright hit six free throws in a row and they also #11) Xavier Ball scored a basket making this play an eight point play and #22) S. Wiliams hits two free throws to make the score H. Central 77-54 with 1:35 left in the game. Liberty finished the game with two free throws to make the final score H. Central 77-56. Liberty had two turnovers and scored four points off of them. Team Summary:
Liberty started off fast and was up 18-15 after one quarter with #33) Jayce Catchings scoring 11 points in the first quarter. The second quarter they didn’t have an answer for H. Central’s #22) Shaun Williams that scored 11 points for the quarter and was losing by one point at the half 33-32. The second half #33) Jayce Catchings was guarded by H. Central’s #1) Telly Wright and only scored two points in the second half after scoring 16 in the first half. Liberty committed seven turnovers and seven points scored off of them in the third. The fourth quarter Liberty had three techs and ten points were scored off of the techs. They basically ran out of gas after the first half and H. Central turned up the intensity in the second half and Liberty shot 7/22 from the field and 8/17 from the line and was soundly beaten at the end.

Hazelwood Central played even in the first half and #23) Cameron Williams didn’t play most of the second quarter and half of the third and fourth quarter because of foul trouble. The third quarter they put #1) Telly Wright took over the duties of guarding Liberty’s #33) J. Catchings and he only scored two points and only shot one three pointer and hit two free throws in the second half after scoring 16 points in th first half. #1) Wright exploded for 19 points in the second half and had game high 26 points. #22) Shaun Williams had a great game and looked like a division 1 player tonight. Hazelwood Central teammates had an altercation in the huddle in a time out. They have to get along and there seems to be a problem.
