First Quarter Summary:
Howell started the game with a 14-0 run with 4:13 left in the first quarter. Hannibal scored their first basket with 3:53 left in the first. Howell followed that basket with a 10-0 run to make it 24-2 with 36.0 sconds left in the first. Hannibal’s #1) Dezi Jones scored and Howell added a three poiner with :01 left to make the score after one quarter 27-4. Hannibal had eight turnovers and Howell scored 15 points off of them. Howell had one turnover and no points scored off of it. Howell had the only second chance points with two.
Second Quarter Summary:
Hannibal’s #1) Jones scored the first seven points of the second quarterto make it Howell 27-11 with 7:02 left in the second quarter. Howell’s #4) Matthew Simmons hit s on old style three pointer and then the two teams trade twos then threes to make it Howell 35-16 with 5:19 left in the second. Hannibal hits a free throw and Howell hits two free throws and Howell’s #1) Dylan Dalton and Hannibal’s #1) Jones exchanged baskets to make it Howell 39-19. Howell hits two free throws in between a basket by Hannibal to keep the lead at 20 41-21 with 3:00 left in the half. Hannibal went on a 8-2 run with two threes by #11) Wyatt Waelder and #1) Jones and then a nother basket by #11) Waelder to make it Howell 43-29 with 55.0 seconds left in the first half. The two teams traded free throws to make the first half score Howell 44-30. Hannibal’s #1) Dezi Jones scored 15 points and #11) Wyatt Waelder scored seven points in the second quarter. Howell’s #4) Matthew Simmons also had seven points in the second quarter. Hannibal had two turnovers and no points scored on them and Howell had three and six points scored on them. The only second chance points was Howell and they had one.
Third Quarter Summary:
Howell started the second half with a 9-2 run including five points from #14) Jack Wilhelm to make it Howell 53-32 with 5:15 left in the third quarter. Hannibal followed with a 14-0 run in which Howell had eight turnovers in that span. The score was Howell 53-46 with 1:53 left in the third. Hannibal’s #1) Jones had nine points of the 14 points. Howell went on a 4-0 run and Hannibal finished the quarter with a basket to make the score at the end of three quarters Howell 57-48. Howell only scored four points in the last 5:15 in the third . Hannibal’s #1) Dezi Jones had nine points in third quarter. Hannibal had six turnovers and three points scored off of them and Howell had nine turnovers and 12 points scored off of them. Hannibal had two second chance points and Howell didn’t have any.
Fourth Quarter Summary:
Howell started the fourth quarter with a 8-0 run that included four points from #4) Simmons to make the score Howell 65-48. Hannibal three turnovers during the run and six points scored off of them. Hannibal didn’t get their first points till 5:38 left in the fourth but goes on a 8-0 run in which #1) Jones scored all eight points. Howell had five straight trips with a turnover during the run and four points scored off of them. The score after the 8-0 run was Howell 65-56 with 2:55 left in the fourth quarter. Howell’s #33) Matt Schark scored a two and Hannibal answers with two free throws to keep the lead at nine 67-58 . Howell makes two free throws and Hannibal’s #1) Jones scores the last five points of the game from the free throw line to make the final Howell 69-63. Hannibal’s #1) Dezi Jones scored 13 points in the fourth quarter and 39 for the game. Hannibal had four turnovers and six points scored off of them and Howell had six turnovers and seven points scored off of them. Hannibal had nine second chance points and Howell had four second chance points in the fourth quarter.

Team Summary:
Howell was winning by a 27-4 score after one quarter and then was out scored by a 59-42 count in the last three quarters to hang on for a six point win. The last three quarters they had 18 turnovers and 25 points scored off of them. They were real sloppy but that will change with one of the best coaches in the area Kurt Jacob. They will win alot of games. They have a solid starting five.
Hannibal started off with a 23 point deficit after one quarter because of eight turnovers and 15 points scored off of the turnovers. They cleaned up their act some with 12 turnovers in the next three quarters ans only nine points scored off ot them. They had no quit in them. they turned up the d and only lost by six points. They have a player in #1) Dezi Jones that had a game high 39 points and Howell had no answer for him.
