First Quarter Summary:

Second Quarter Summary:
St. Pius X (SPX) #3) Hipp hit a two to make it Incarnate Word (IWA) 12-11 with 7:40 left in the first half. IWA went on a 6-0 run with #32) Nakayla Jackson-Morris (7:10), #11) Morris (5:01) and #30) Marisa Warren all hitting baskets to make it IWA 18-11 with 4:27 left in the first half. SPX’s #3) Hipp hits two free throws (4:02) and IWA’s #32) Jackson-Morris (3:46) and #30) Warren both hitting baskets to make it IWA 22-13 with 3:31 left in first half. SPX went on a 8-0 run with #3) Hipp hitting a two (2:42) , three point play (1:44) and #15) Alaina Malott hit a three with 1:21 left in the first half to make it IWA 22-21 and that was the score at the end of the first half.

The third quarter SPX had seven turnovers and four points scored off of them and IWA had two turnovers and not any points scored off of them. IWA turned up the defense in the third quarter.
Fourth Quarter Summary:
St. Pius X’s (SPX) #2) Mussorici hit two free throws to make it Incarnate Word (IWA) 37-31 with 7:18 left in the game. IWA went on a 12-0 run with #35) Rickie Woltman completes a three point play (7:05) , #30) Warren hit a two (6:27) , #11) Morris hits a two (5:46), #10) Johnson hits a two (5:20) and #11) Morris completes a three point play to make it  IWA 49-31 with 5:05 left in the game. SPX’s #5) Denzer hit a three (4:49) and IWA’s #24) Britzmann hit two free throws to make it IWA 51-34 with 4:18 left in the game. SPX’s #2) Mussorici hits a two (3:22) and IWA hit six straight free throws with #11)Morris hitting two free throws and #10) Johnson hit four straight free throws to make it IWA 57-36 with 1:03 left in thr game. SPX’s #21) Kate Parrish hit a free throw and IWA’s #14) Drew Kell hit two free throws to make it IWA 59-37 with 46.1 seconds left and that was the final score.
The fourth quarter SPX had two turnovers and one point scored off of them, IWA had two turnovers and two points scored off of them. IWA’s #11) Sonya Morris scored seven points in the fourth quarter. They really put the screws in on defense in the second half and should win state for a few more years.
