1. Edwardsville  25-1  They have one of the hottest recruits in the nation in Mark Smith. They are #23 in the MaxPreps National Poll.
2. Webster Groves  23-2  They havent lost in 2017 and on a 17 game winning streak. The win streak included Morgan Park, Iowa City West (#1 Iowa), and Vashon. #24) MaxPreps National Preps
3. East St. Louis  17-7  They have losses against Edwardsville (2), Althoff, Tennessee team, Florida team, Chicago Curie, Champaign Central. There in the toughest conference in the Metro area.
4. Belleville West  18-8  They’re in the toughest conference in the area. They have the best sophomore in the area in EJ Liddell. The only team to beat Edwardsville this year,
5. SLUH  20-6  Their last 2 games were wins against CBC and Chaminade and won their conference for the first time. Their last three losses were against Vashon, Webster Groves and St. Mary’s. They have been a lot better since Brent Smith came back from injury.
6. Chaminade  20-5 They have a 4-4 record in last 8 games including losses against SLUH and CBC. They were unbeatable in the middle of the season but look like there not in sync for the playoffs.
7. CBC  17-9 They have losses against SLUH (2), St. Mary’s (2), Hazelwood Central, Chicago North Lawndale, Chaminade, Peoria Manual and Champaign Central so they don’t have any bad losses. They lost 5 of first 8 so they finished the season 14-4
8. Belleville East  15-12 They might have had the toughest schedule in the area. They have an all metro palyer in Javon Pickett. They’re in the toughest conference in the area.
9. Hazelwood Central  16-10 They had a tough schedule this year. I don’t like the loss to McCluer North but was competitive against Vashon and Kickapoo.
10. Francis Howell  21-5  They won the GAC South Champions. They have a good core and an excellent coach. They havent played the toughest schedule but only lost 5 games.
Small Schools
1. Vashon   20-3  They lost a tough one to Webster Groves. They came right back with a big effort against Hazelwood Central.
2. St. Mary’s   23-3  Won a big one over Cardinal Ritter. The second best small school in the area but still has to beat Vashon in the playoffs.

6. Cardianl Ritter  20-6  They have an 8-2 record in the last 10 and had St. Mary’s on the ropes and leth them off. They have a tough sectional Wednesday at SC West against Northwest Academy.
7. Alton Marquette 28-3 They have some good wins as of late Gibault (2), Mc Cluer North, They have a 21-1 record in the last 22 games. They play Wesclin on March 1st
8. Cahokia 18-10  They have played a very tough schedule. They have wins against Champaign Central, Carbondale, Centralia. They save Thomas “Taco” Bell is a must see.
9. Northwest Academy  18-9 including 4 forfeits in the 1st 4 games of the season. They have losses against Vashon, CBC, Ritenour, Chicago Brooks and Effingham so they have no bad losses.
10. Althoff  17-10 They have a 3-5 record since Jordan Goodwin shut down because of his shoulder injury. They had a great game against CBC and lost by 2 points.
