Game Summary:
The two teams exchanged points and the score was Vashon was leading 7-6 with 3:57 left in the first quarter. Vashon went on a 12-2 run with two threes and three twos to make it Vashon 19-8 with 1:17 left in the first quarter. Webster’s #00) Gordon hit two free throws and Vashon’s #3) Reese hit a three and Webster Groves’ #23) Isaiah Ford hit a two and Vashon’s #34) Casey Cody-Jackson hits a three at the buzzer to make it Vashon 25-12 at the end of the first quarter. Webster Groves answered with a 7-0 run which was started by an unbelievable layup by Webster’s #13) Courtney Ramey and he was fouled and he  made the free throw to complete the three point play and it was his first points with 5:57 left in the half and it got him going. The Vashon lead was down to 10 points 29-19 with 5:39 left in the half.  Vashon answered with a 5-0 run to make it Vashon 34-19 with 4:54 left in the half. Webster scored the next four points to make it 34-23 with 3:21 left. Vashon’s #2) Koray Gilbert hit two threes in a row to get the Vashon lead back to 17 (40-23) with 2:17 left in the half. Webster Groves ended the half with a 7-0 run including a two at the buzzer from #11) Cam Potts to make the score Vashon 40-30 at the break. Vashon had four turnovers and nine points scored off of them and Webster Groves had four turnovers and three points scored off of them. The first lead that Webster Groves had the lead since 3-2 with 6:08 left in the first quarter. Vashon hit two free throws and Webster hit a two to make it Webster Groves 50-49 with 5:10 left. Webster Groves’ #00) Carte’Are Gordon stole the ball and went coast to coast and made a great play and was fouled but came up lame and #10) Ray Adams hit the free throw for Gordon and Vashon answered with a three from #3) Joseph Reese to make it Webster Groves 53-52 with 4:42 left. Webster Groves’ #00) Gordon did come back in the game. The two teams exchanged baskets and Vashon hit a free throw to tie the score at 55 with 2:57 left in the game. The two teams exchanged two free throws a piece to keep the score tied at 57 with 1:17 left. Webster Groves’ #23) Isaiah Ford hits a basket and Vashon’s #5) Farris hits two free throws to keep the score tied at 59 with :40 left. Webster Groves turned it over and Vashon ran the clock down to :04 left and #5) Farris shot and Webster’s #13) Ramey rebounded and was fouled. Webster’s #13) Ramey hit one out of two free throws to make it Webster Groves 60-59 with :04 left. Vashon’s #4) Mario McKinney shoots and it rims out to make the final score Webster Groves 60-59. It was a great game. Vashon had one turnover and three points were scored off of them and Webster Groves had five turnovers and four points scored off of them.
