The second half started with St. Charles started with a 16-0 run to go from a 13 point deficit to a three point lead with 4:31 left in the third quarter. Duchesne scored their first basket at 4:14 left in the third. They exchanged leads four times till they were tied at 45 with 1:49 left and they exchanged baskets to make it tied at 47 at the end of the third quarter. St. Charles had two turnovers and two points scored off of them. Duchesne had five turnovers and 12 points scored off of them. St. Charles’ #30) Drew Cannon had eight points for the third quarter. They were going back and forth but Duchesne was losing points with them scoring a two or scoring one  and St. Charles scoring three points or a two to the point where it was 55-51 and Duchesne’s #25) Adam Moore hit a three to get it within one point 55-54 with 48.9 seconds left. St. Charles’ #2) Micah Hughes hits two free throws and Duchesne’s #23) Mitch Fairless misses a three and they foul #2) Hughes again and he hits one out of two this time to get the lead back to four 58-54 with 10.6 seconds left. St. Charles fouls Duchesne’s #12) Cooper Tune with 3.9 seconds, left. and he makes the first part of a one and one and he misses the second one on purpose and it bounces right back to Duchesne’s #23) Mitch Fairless and he puts in the basket as the horn blows. When I watched it real time I thought the clock didn’t start fast enough and Duchesne was homing the Pirates but when I got home there was a tweet with the basket on a video and I think it was good from the tweet. It was way to close for the refs to take it away. So overtime here we come. The refs had a St. Charles fan ejected from the gym in between the fourth quarter and the overtime. The refs gave him more enough chances to calm down he just wouldn’t. He went peacefully. St. Charles had two turnovers and not any points scored on them. Duchesne had didn’t have any turnovers. They only scored 11 points apiece in the fourth quarter.
The two teams exchanged baskets to be tied at 60 with 2:27 left. Duchesne’s #23) Fairless hit two free throws and then both teams turned the ball over and St. Charles’ #20) Teson hit two free throws to tie the score at 62 with 1:38 left. The two teams exchanged baskets to tie the score at 64 with 9.5 seconds left. St. Charles committed a bad foul with 5.7 seconds left and Duchesne’s #23) Fairless hits one out two free throws and St. Charles couldn’t get off a shot and the final score was Duchesne 65-64.St. Charles had one turnover and no points were scored off of them.
