Game Summary:
CM took a six point lead into the break. They lost it in the third quarter by being outscored 20-10 . They couldn’t make up anything in the fourth quarter. I think they didn’t go to their best player enough #23) Allie Troeckler in crunch time. That had some to do with the good defense Highland showed against her but she should be able to take anyone on the floor one on one. They were undefeated till this game with 16 wins and would of had to beat Highland three times in one year which is tough to do.
Highland hung tough and stayed close. They had two players that stepped up late #13) Alex LaPorta and #22) Madison Wellen. #13) Alex LaPorta had a tough time around the basket but everything else she did was great. She made free throws and passed very well and did get some big baskets. #22) Madison Wellen was solid through the whole game and hit the shot and especially threes to keep Highland in the game. You have to give them credit they fought for CM not to beat them three in a row. They move to 14-3 and probably betters their #4 ranking in the state.
